Yes, creatives do need principles and systems
Incredible insight to the creative process for profit. The opinion of creatives needing a systematic approach is absolutely correct. I have spend so many hours debating this in my mind and believe that my systematic approach to my creative work has brought me from a starving artist living in a station wagon to a six figure salaried creative, which my family appreciates very much. Now I can afford to build a home studio and do art for myself as well. The personal creative time has now increased and I can afford the tools for creating music. My creative time at home is making my creative for profit life better as well. What I am saying here is that Todd Henry has created a very useful forum for anyone that wants to be successful as a creative. I was in a rut until I listen to several of Todd’s podcasts. Now, I can feel the rhythm coming back that I lost about a year ago. It reminded me of the correct principles. Yes, creatives do need principles and systems. If you don’t think it’s true, you are still at an immature place in your creative life.
I love accidental creative!
I stumbled upon the accidental creative website by accident and after listening to just a few podcasts I became a full member. Great work Todd!

Best 10 Bucks I've Ever Spent.
This is a great podcast. So great that I have been a AC Premium subscriber for two years now. The subscription continues to be the best $10 dollars I spend each month... and for a guy who loves coffee, that's saying a lot.
Extremely interesting stuff!
Todd Henry is a multi-talented guy who engages with a variety of creative professionals in an extermely interesting way. I learn something amazing every time I listen. I encourage you to give 'em a try.
Great podcast for artists and creative people
I have regular "a-ha" moments when listening to this podcast. It's a great listen for anyone who creates for a living.
Deep!
A diamond in the rough of on-demand programming for independent artists and business people.
A MUST FOR CREATIVES
Learn about the creative process and how to maintain it. Todd Henry's mission is to liberate the artist within and help you "find your own unique voice" All Creatives (Musicians, Artists, Graphic Designers...), will benefit from this podcast.
Outstanding!
I was hooked from the time I started playing the first podcast. Refreshing commentary. It has given me hope after working for years in the stifling coporate doldrums.
The creative balancing act
Hired to be creative, I find myself not being creatively challenged and/or being offered the opportunity to try new things. This frustration lead to questioning my creativity and somewhat 'putting it on the shelf' until the next creative job comes along. Thankfully Accidental Creative reminds me to stretch myself creatively, regardless of the job constraints. It offers worthwhile creativity exercises that have helped me stretch myself creatively with my art, if not with the current job. Thanks Accidental Creative!
Not just for the "professional" creatives.
I work in finance and love this, too. The topics and guests are interesting, Todd has a truly genuine presence and delivers non-scripted content with great poise.
Don't just sit there, create something
Todd is like the mentor or coach you always wanted, sitting at your elbow and helping yout to be your best creative self.
Creatives, listen to this podcast!
Is your job to create something great for someone else? Whether you are a designer, advertiser, photographer, musician, writer or artist, you should listen to this podcast. Todd Henry's mission is to expand your personal creativity. He's created a series that addresses the issues that so many working creatives face--creative block, unclear direction, lack of inspiration, unfulfilled creative goals. It's engaging and inspiring. If you like what you hear, you can find more at the Accidental Creative site.
The Accidental Creative is No Accident
Todd Henry has created a podcast that somehow ties David Allen's Getting Things Done, LifeHacks, 43 Folders, with Natalie Goldberg's Writing Down the Bones and A Writer's Way at Work by Julia Cameron. His ideas are fresh with a careful attention to sound production and vocabulary that results in a podcast that is a joy to both the ear and the soul. I recommend anyone who is a creative whether your tool be Word, Powerpoint, Keynote, Excel or Illustrator to listen. You will find direction and energy herewithin.
others?
Is there a way to download the other podcasts? I see part 2, part 7, etc. but no part 1. ??
Great Stuff
Todd is doing an amazing job at communicating very effective techniques of maximizing creativity. I found the information that I have learned from his podcast to be incredibly helpful to not only improve my own creativity, but how to more effectively communicate with other creative people. Thanks Todd.
Be the Accidental Creative
This was originally thought to inspire writers, I think, but it's turned out to be an inspiration to me for home and work life (and I'm creative at work, but not a writer). Todd Henry has a very clear and concise way of expressing this thoughts, you never get bored, and you always seem to leave the podcast feeling lighter than before you listened. I look forward to each new edition. When I see there's a new one, I always think, "Oh, goodie." You won't want to miss this, even if you think you are the last creative person on the earth. Each podcast has pearls of wisdom to share to anyone.

Right on the money...Truthful, accurate and has continued to help me in all areas of my creative life. Thanks Mr. Henry
A real find!
All three podcasts from Todd Henry are worth a listen, no matter what your career, avocation, or ambition. Easy to listen to, entertaining, thought prokoking without getting overly heavy. As an artist, I was looking for just the right thing to spark my creativity and this is it. In terms of my full time employment- these are all ideas that I can apply there as well.
Excellent, thought-provoking material, but...
...where might episode 1 and 18 be found? I'd hate to think I was overlooking the "missing-link". I've enjoyed the listening enough that i ventured over to Todd's webpage. But alas, his registration is closed. After i finish listening to all of the available podcasts, i just may sign up for his eZine. Again, great work so far Todd.
So Sorry to Have Missed It!
This sounds like a fascinating podcast...very sorry it's unavailable. Hope you bring it back soon. Cheers!
